Michele Modugno

Management engineer who builds web apps.

I'm Michele. I have a BSc in Management Engineering and I'm now doing an MSc in Operations Management. Before writing any code I model the process (BPMN, UML) and the database.

Below are the two projects I've finished so far.

PrendiNota

A booking platform for music rehearsal rooms in the province of Bari.

Problem
Bands need an equipped rehearsal room at a given hour. Studios want their rooms booked and paid for without handling every request themselves.
Approach
Requirements for three roles, BPMN and UML models of the booking process, an ER model, then the app. PostgreSQL triggers enforce the rules that must never break (no overlapping bookings, opening hours, closure days), so the database rejects bad data even if the app misses a check.
Result
A working platform: slot search, Stripe test payments, QR check-in, a wallet with a 24h refund/penalty policy, unpaid bookings released after 15 minutes, and admin approval of studios.

Cucinança

"What's in my fridge?" A recipe book for Erasmus students in Bragança.

Problem
Erasmus students cook with whatever is left in the fridge, and with what the shops in Bragança sell.
Approach
You enter your pantry and a matching engine lists the recipes you can cook tonight. It accepts a substitute where the recipe allows one, but a dish missing its main ingredient is never suggested. Recipes follow a JSON schema over an ingredient taxonomy, and a validator checks each one.
Result
126 recipes and 160 ingredients, portions for one person, local prices. It is a static site on GitHub Pages with no backend, and the pantry is saved on the device.
